I've been in class for a week now, not really having that much fun with a buttload of worksheets due on a single day. ;w;

Online classes, sure they're easier but not better than physical classes...

Heavy on the eyes.

Main topic for this journal entry: Future Mischief's 5th Anniversary.

I just completed a task, to copy the ORIGINAL text of Future Mischief.

I ended up with 88 pages of text with no spaces in between lines arranged in two columns on a paper that is of landscape orientation.

Well here's the thing, Imma be rewriting the whole story for its 5th year.

Maybe some revisions here, some minor changes in the plot, character manipulation, and some direct chapter deletions.

The original text, ACTUAL TEXT THAT WAS WRITTEN WITHOUT PROOFREADING, is available here in this account's gallery. Arranged from the latest to the oldest.

I should warn y'all, cuz it was written by a bored 12 year-old.

Expect grammar issues, misspellings, typos, wrong words due to autocorrect, and all those weird stuff a kid would write.

I'll do better for the remake of the story.

Maybe I'll upload it on the exact day of the 5th anniversary.

Do UTAU?

Draw the 5-koma thing that has been sitting on the desk?

Write the whole book and start the second?

I used to do most of my stuff through the help of my Samsung ATIV tab 3. It was a tablet-comp that runs Intel atom on windows 8 and I got it from my grandma when I was 11.

Played OSU, browsed Danbooru, and did some stuff here at DeviantArt.

I thought it would be gone forever when my mom shut it down while it was undergoing an update. That was some time in 2014 or 2015, took the tab to various repair and Samsung shops and none of them could fix it.

I decided to give it a factory reset, didn't know why those "Tech experts" didn't even bother to do so, and it worked. Lost all files but at least the tablet's working fine. The only problem is that the stylus is not working correctly, it registers clicks and holds despite being inches away from the screen. Resolved that problem by opening up the button and screwing the little screw that controlled the pen's sensitivity.

Now that this tablet's fine and there's still a lot "free time", I guess I'll be doing random stuff and find some things to do.

I remember telling stories about my life as a 7th grader, keeping it here on DA's journal seems to be convenient as this platform continues to remind me on whatever I did before.

Missing out on whatever's happening on DA for about 3 years isn't that good for me. I wanted to do stuff and share stuff but school's been shooting me down.

I don't have enough time to talk about whatever happened on 8th and 9th grade, so maybe I'll just talk about my final year as a Junior High School student. I've gotten used to the school system so I'm sure that I'll be able to manage my time for my 2 years in Senior High.

1) Usual Academics.

- Nothing much actually, it's the usual set that is taught to Filipino students but with add on electives since I'm in a Science High School. For 9th grade, I took in Consumer Chemistry and Microbiology so I moved up to 10th grade with Human Anatomy along with Basic Calculus/Trigonometry and Research as electives. Sounds like a mouthful but the last 2 are taught to all 10th graders, the only thing that's special with my class is Human Anatomy. Didn't have problems for the subjects, group works really shot me down since I'm not that 'social'.

2) Classroom problems Ha Ha Ha.

- Oh, I've already stated that I suck in social interactions. Got into some issues with group mates, here are some flops: From a director to an extra character, a classroom outcast, an overworked research paper writer, stolen *star* group mates, and group reports being cancelled due to the suspension. Last one didn't sound bad eh? I'll just leave the fact that we worked on that on the night before the deadline. Honestly better than getting an x-ray after getting my head hit by an angry guy (which happened at 9th grade).

3) Roaming around the city.

- Pasig City's big. For the last 3 years, I've always chosen the lightest roles. Script? I'll write em. Props? leave it to me. How about camera work? Nuh-uh, I don't wanna leave my house.

All of that changed for the better. I've been to a small part of Pasig, due to the various location shootings, interviews, and researching. Ahhh, the streets of Quezon City when I was a 9th grader, thought I was lost before hailing a taxi to get to a local mall. I've been to some parts of Manila and Pasay due to the whole research craze but Pasig's been slightly explored by this weirdo as well so maybe I made my point or maybe not.

4) New comrades!

- Got'em. Met some students from the lower year, established a deep connection with a new guy that I'm really fond of, and maybe some new people for the friend list? Most of my friends from 7th to 8th grade have chosen a better life, a life where they study anywhere else except for this school. I lost more than half of my old friends but we still update each other on things so yeah. \More about the guy on the next number./

5) R E S E A R C H

- First day of school, teacher enters, smacks stuff on the table, "Okay, we're having experimental research for this year! Let me set you all into groups and you shall present your drafts by tomorrow!". A classroom, not all are familiar with each other, sorted into random groups. This is where it's gonna get long, this is the reason for this journal entry.

> Got into a group with no "friends".

- A group of 6 with 4 girls already friends since they're girls. I've always been with the guys, so I had a hard time communicating with the girls since they're distant AF.

Ended up befriending and placing my trust on this one dude that I call Gab. Only male member of the group, heck I can have conversations without the fear of awkwardness. We did a lot of stuff together, disobeyed our leader's orders, got punished together, and wrote some sections of the paper together. We're classmates during 9th grade but I got to know him better during 10th grade.

Great huh? No problems on the project? Wrong.

We got through a lot of issues in picking a title and a study. We changed our topic for 4 times before settling with a genius topic, that was given to us. Our adviser wanted fast results, no solid topic? Okay, here's a grade of 84. We started with a Urine-Bee study, then a coconut water-bee study. We dropped the urine study cuz where the heck are we supposed to get a stable source of urine?

> Mall of Asia

- A science fair happening at the World Trade Center. Okay, let's go. We found nothing significant for our study, nothing at all. We went to MOA right after, separated from the girls, Gab and I played at the arcade and wandered through the electronics department. Got the opportunity to buy this Miku Hatsune figure for only 795 pesos at Data Blitz.

At first Gab asked me if I'm serious about getting her, I just proceeded to the counter to pay without answering.

Right after, we placed our bags inside the car and had a stroll by Manila Bay. Just the two of us, other group mates went to a makeup/cosmetics trade fair.

> We went to some parts of Manila to buy a colony of bees. (Fail incoming)

- Coconut water and bees? Hmmm. We got a hold of a colony of Tetragonula biroi Friese, a species of stingless bees native to the Philippines, for 9000 pesos. We chose a spot for observation, bought some coconut water, and started the paper. We cleaned this abandoned house, a very dirty house, to put the bees in. We started the cleaning right after getting the colony. We were told that they're sensitive to high temperatures so we chose a house. The study was supposed to be about the impact of a strict coconut water only diet on the honey production of this specific species. Guess what, the bees died just after 4 hours of placing them on the spot. Yeah, the WHOLE colony died. I feel real bad for the bees up to now.

> UPLB, UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES LOS BAÑOS, LAGUNA

- Adviser told us, "You have a scientist, right? Ask for some suggestions." We went to Los Baños to get some advice, a group of 6 students, real fun, nop. Got scolded on the brutal thing we did (poor colony) and our very own scientific consultant gave us a new topic. She guided us real well. With 2 more topic changes, the final one was selected. The foraging behavior of stingless bees.

> UPLB observation, good stuff.

- Days to observe, 3 days. All were encouraged to participate, all 6 along with our adviser. Gab 'n I were against it (Nah, parents didn't allow us) and the girls got mad. It was "unfair" so we were given the task to calculate data, do the methodology, fix the related literature, formulate discussions and synthesis, pretty much the whole paper. They observed and missed school, we laughed at school with our games- nah, we did our work.

> Division Science and Technology Fair.

- We were given a day to finalize, along with other 10th graders and 12th graders, a whole day was spent inside the school library. Rushed with half of the group outside of the school for printing and material buying, I was like a mad person typing on the laptop. Started at 6AM, ended at 5PM. The following day was crazy.

Leader: Who wants to present the paper?

Me: Gab n I and whoever else

Leader: Nope, not you and Gab together.

I was pissed but didn't show it. Some issues coming through and my leader yelled at me. Yelled at me right in front of the class, telling them how Gab and I didn't do anything right. Real pissed, broke a stress ball but still got my way with me presenting with Gab. Cuz my leader doesn't want to.

This idiot still smiling, not showing but was real disappointed on how the poster came to be.

Waiting 'til 8PM for the results, names weren't called yet. Ended up being at 2nd place, with schoolmates grabbing 1st with their antiviral thingy. Didn't expect such results but the thought of revenge still stays. ( Nah I'm fine )

> NSEF, Baguio.

- Nothing much to tell, the other half of the group won some merit award. T'was a National Competition. Now we're qualified for ISEF, international competition to be held at Yogyakarta sometime in 2020.

> UPLB International Meliponine Conference.

https://uplb.edu.ph/all-news/bee-conference-gathers-support-from-intl-community/

- Thanks to our qualified scientist, we were invited to this 4-day event. We only attended a day out of 4 days since school works are H E A V Y.

Leader: Only one from your half will go decide.

Me internally: As a revenge I'll go and present to prove you wrong!

Me: I'll do it.

The other girl from my half didn't want to talk in front of a lot of people and Gab was lazy. Ended up taking the challenge since I wanted to prove her wrong. I darn did something right and I won't let her belittle the efforts done by both Gab and I.

The thing I kept in mind is the fact that my social state is not that stable. I decided to stand up with my buddy rather than going through the troubles to change myself for people to see me. I'd rather be myself and hang with those that I want to hang with, not to keep up with trends nor lose my unique personality to be with the girls.

We won 3rd place, against other undergraduate research studies. 1st and 2nd place experimented with propolis and honey to see the effects on pain. They're great studies so they deserve their places.

Even got interviewed,

https://www.facebook.com/tvpst/videos/240945923570884/

I'd choose a different school after 10th grade but I'm stuck with it. No choice but to finish my last 2 years in this school before heading out to college.

I think that's about it, my experience as a 10th grader.

Quarantine

1 min read
Well, seems that I won't be graduating from junior high soon cuz of this Coronavirus thingy.

Can't say that I accomplished some stuff within the period but hey, I got the time to read Kud Wafter n Nursery Rhyme, Japanese visual novels.

Nah, haven't finished them n I'm here trying to get into reading Clannad's VN.

Another thing that I'll probably do is to "reboot" Future Mischief since the story has been inconsistent from the very start (Damn you 6th grade self!).

I'll be deleting some chapters n changing a whole lot of things since it'd be pointless to re-do the stuff I wrote roughly 5 years ago. Maybe I'll go through the original mistake-filled version n write new stuff.

Probs be uploading here n in Quotev as well.

Plz stay safe from the Coronavirus thingy.
